Alnwick Brewery

IPA - Ian and Alnwick Lion

Alnwick is a Northumbrian Market Town in the North East of England and is a popular destination for tourists visiting Alnwick Castle and the Alnwick Gardens.

Alnwick has a long and interestng history dating back to the building of the first castle next to the River Aln in the 11th Century.

The history of the now demolished Alnwick Brewery dates back to the late 1700's and forms an integeral part of Alnwick's history.

The Alnwick Brewery Company Ltd was among the first limited companies ever formed in the UK with the introduction of The Company's Act of 1890.

The Brewery's range of historic beers, such as Alnwick IPA, are making a long awaited comeback thanks to Ian Linsley who has also resurrected the legendary Alnwick Rum brand.

Due to the sad destruction of the original Brewery, Ian is currently unable to produce his Alnwick Beers in Northumberland. He's confident however that this situation will be rectified in the near future and is actively searching for a new Alnwick home for Alnwick IPA and the Spirit of Northumberland® - Alnwick Rum.
